1. SCOPE

The material defined by this specification is a water reducible powder, consisting of a fatty acid reactive soap compound (complex stearate) used in lubrication processes and applied over zinc phosphate treatments. It reacts to form an integral dry film lubricant which will withstand extreme pressures. It is intended for the coating of metallic parts to lower the coefficient of friction and minimize metallic adhesion of parts operating dry.
