1. SCOPE
The material described by this specification is a flexible, heat treated braided type "E" glass fiber sleeving, reinforced with stainless steel wire, and incorporating two or more significantly heavier ends which spiral around the circumference, providing a standoff air gap for superior thermal insulating characteristics. A cross-linked polymeric coating is added to prevent fraying.
