1. SCOPE:

The material defined by this specification is a flexible polyurethane foam offering restricted air flow due to a high percentage of closed cells and lack of interconnection between any remaining open cells. The foam may be heat formed (ESH-M4D291-B/C) or die cut (ESH-M4D291-D/E). Heat formed foam may exhibit varying densities in the finished part. The finished part shall be furnished with a pressure sensitive adhesive and that adhesive shall be protected with a suitable release paper. The pressure sensitive adhesive is intended as an assembly aid and should only be used when the seal is mechanically retained in the final assembly.
