1.1.1 1 Cords and cables specified in this standard shall be UL Listed / or Recognized (or equivalent OSHA NRTL, agency certified) for use in the USA, and/or CSA Certified for use in Canada and I shall be the mark of these agencies. They shall be suitable for "extra hard usage" as specified in the National Electrical Code I (NEC), Table 400-4. These cords and cables shall also be water-, chemical-and oil-resistant types, and rated 600 Vat I as follows:
