This procedure is used to evaluate the bond strength of a joint on plastic interior trim assemblies. The parts are generally manufactured by spot, ultrasonic or vibration welding, heat bonding or staking, crimping, and/or other processes. The method may be adapted to any bonded parts.
It is not within the intent of this procedure to list or specify the exact manner or fixtures that shall be used to perform the test but rather to describe the procedure, which may be used. Figures are provided as a guide.
