The procedure determines the corrosion resistance of an anodic coating by indirectly measuring its electrical resistance while it is being attacked electrolytically. The cumulative (integral) D.C. voltage drop across a test specimen during a specified period of time is used as the measure which establishes a FACT value for the coating.
