1. SCOPE

This Standard describes the minimum construction requirements for the common types of portable wood ladders used in the Company for the performance of maintenance functions. Aluminum or other portable metal ladders are not covered by this Standard and are not approved for use in Company plants. The Pl& t Engineering Office, Manufacturing Staff, and the Corporate Safety Manager, Personnel and Organization Staff, will review requests to purchase nonstandard ladders.
