1. SCOPE

This Standard describes the application of a two-hand safety control in accordance with Manufacturing Standard U-KZOO3X .

1.1 Two-hand safety controls are only allowed for : . (a) machinery and equipment in which the dangerous movements may be stopped, and where guarding is impractical (e. g. presses with non-positive clutches) or, (b) to sta t 1 t r s 1or movements; for example clamping fixtures, piercing or clinching tools The Plant Safety Engineer shall approve the application of two-hand safety control in each case.   2. APPLICATION This Manufacturing Standard applies to-pneumatically controlled machinery and equipment which permits theapplication of two-hand safety controls to protect the operator( s) against dangerous movementsThis Standard applies to all Ford European Automotive Operations. 3 .
