This standard specifies the requirements for high performance through hardened TAPTITE 2000® SP thread rolling screws. The standard relates to screws with the Radius Profile™ and standard 60 degree thread form ranging from sizes M5 to M12. The short point has fewer lead in threads and no stabilizing threads verses standard TAPTITE screws. This may allow an increase in thread engagement when used in blind holes with limitations on length. Initially intended for use in aluminum castings.
