1. SCOPE:
This standard covers material and performance requirements for through hardened carbon steel tapping screws. In normal use, these screws produce mating threads in materials into which they are driven without deforming their own threads. This standard is intended to produce screws with improved ductility when compared with the case hardened screws produced to Standard WD950.
