The materials defined by this specification are steer or heifer hides which have been tanned by a bio-based source. Minimal grain and no alteration to the top surface has occurred to allow for a soft haptic without sacrificing the leather’s physical properties. Top coat finish allows for a premium haptic which is a primary attribute for this leather along with the bio-based tanning. Top coat finish is not engineered to meet high abrasion characteristics.
