The material defined by this specification is a polyester seat belt webbing woven with untwisted continuous filament yarn and finished selvages. Proper dyes and dyeing procedures shall be employed to provide acceptable colors, appearance, and physical properties. A surface finish may be applied to enhance abrasion resistance. Color stripping for redyeing of webbing rejected for color is not allowed. The webbing shall be of good quality and uniform construction.
