1. SCOPE

This specification defines the performance requirements for interior seating and trim fabrics, unlaminated or as a laminate with a scrim backed foam. Fabrics or laminates used in some applications (e. g. molded trim panels and seats, etc.) may sometimes have unique requirements. Any unique requirements shall have joint prior concurrence of the affected Design Engineering and/or the appropriate Materials Engineering activities. Any exceptions to this performance specification will be made part of the respective material specification.
