The material defined by this specification is a high elongation silicone rubber with excellent tear and compression set resistance, suitable for long-term, high temperature service conditions. It has a higher hardness, tensile strength and tear resistance than WSE-M2D393-A and should be used where these enhanced properties are required at the possible expense of NVH performance. The material has a low volatile silicone content and so will not cause silica contamination of emission control components.
