1. SCOPE
The material defined by this specification is a toothed drive belt based on Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR) with a single layer of polyamide facing fabric and glass fiber tension cords. The belt is suitable for use where average service temperatures up to 110 C and peak service temperatures up to 135 C are experienced. The belt is oil and water resistant and remains flexible down to - 40 C. Two types (A & B) are specified based on the hardness of the rubber used in the construction the belt. Where no type is specified on drawings/documents, assume Type A is to be used.
