1. SCOPE
The materials defined by these specifications are decorative tapes used for exterior applications, transparent or pigmented, which may be printed on the face side and may be covered with a durable clear protective coating and backed with a pressure sensitive adhesive which is protected by a release paper.
*To differentiate between locations requiring chip resistant testing, a CAE model or equivalent will be used to determine chip performance based on vehicle design. Ford engineers will determine areas of high and low chip probability.
