1. SCOPE
This specification defines the performance of a solid film lubricant coating containing molybdenum disulfide and other lubricating pigments. It is intended to be utilized on metallic parts to materially lower the coefficient of friction, reduce wear, minimize metallic adhesion of parts operating dry, and provide good corrosion resistance. It is a non-electrolytic type coating which is suitable for use with heat treated components (will not induce hydrogen embrittlement).
