These specifications define the minimum durability and performance requirements for both bright and satin anodized aluminum finishes being used on the following applications:

- Decorative Exterior trim components, like outer belt moldings or roof rails, must meet all tests except where identified as suffix D1 only.

- Exterior step surfaces, like running boards or pick-up box steps, must meet A-suffix level tests and all tests identified for suffix D1. Running boards pick-up box steps are examples.
