1. SCOPE
This specification defines elastomeric, straight hose that consists of a synthetic rubber tube that is resistant to diesel fuel and diesel fuel containing fatty acid methyl and ethyl esters (RME/REE). The hose shall consist of an inner tube of hydrocarbon resistant elastomer such as nitrile, chlorinated polyethylene, or similar elastomer; a single ply of knit or spiral woven aramid reinforcement and a braided cover that is resistant to engine compartment hydrocarbons, water, chlorides, abrasion, heat and ozone.
