This specification covers the sealing performance and fluid resistance of threaded fasteners with sealer compound applied to the thread.
NOTE: Some torque control lubricants may affect adhesion of the compound to the threads. In those cases it may be advantageous to apply the sealer material prior to the torque control lubricant. It is recommended that the processing route be agreed between the fastener maker, surface finisher and sealer applicator to meet the Ford requirements.
