Scope

This test specification defines the requirements, test conditions and test methods for function, material and load tests for mirrors on motor vehicles. In exceptional cases the mirrors must fulfill the requirements of countries in which they are used in addition to or instead of the requirements listed herein. Further requirements for mirrors are laid down in the parts of these Test Specification. 1 Zweck Nachstehende Prufvorschrift legt die Anforderungen, Prufbedingungen und Prufvetfahren fur Funktions-, Werkstoff- und Belastungsprtifungen von Spiegeln an Kraftfahrzeugen fest. In AusnahmefBllen mijssen die Spiegel zusatzliche bzw. anstelle der hier aufgefiihrten, andere Forderungen der Lander erfullen, in denen sie eingesetzt werden.
