I Scope

This test procedure describes a measuring method for determining the release of phenol from moulded parts for the vehicle interior. This test method was elaborated with reference to GME 60271: "Determination of the Release of Formaldehyde from Moulded Parts for the Vehicle Interior". If in addition to phenol formaldehyde has to be tested, this can be determined at the same time using the solution prepared on clause 52.2.
