1 Scope
This test method shall be used for determining the breaking force, tensile strength, extension at max force, and tensile extension (elongation at break) of textiles, leathercloths, plastic films, threads and yarns. It can also be applied to paper, fibreboard, rubberised hair, sealing materials, deadeners etc. The test is performed on predetermined test pieces according to stipulated requirements.
