1 Scope
The IVLAN specification framework describes a complete CAN system with network management and several communication layers and services respectively. In addition, there is a lot of information available for certain applications, for example diagnosis. However, further definitions are necessary for some infotainment devices with special communication requirements. The purpose of this document is therefore to close the mentioned gap. The goal is to provide a general specification of a thin Application Layer for certain infotainment devices which fits in the layered IVLAN architecture.
