Introduction

Purpose

This test procedure describes the procedure to be adopted for standard conditioning of test pieces of plastic materials, textiles, leathercloths, fibreboards, wood, rubberized hair and similar materials.

Foreword

The humidity content of various materials can have a significant effect on their physical properties. In order to obtain repeatable and comparable test results on such materials, they must be brought to standard conditions of humidity (and in some instances temperature) prior to test.
