This specification applies to the general type rubber used for automotive application by GMDAT. (Excluding dustproof rubber, ebonite, tire, hose etc.)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this classification method is to provide guidance to the engineer in the selection of practical and commercially available rubber resilient materials(hereafter referred to as "rubber") composed of natural rubber, and synthetic rubbers, and additives that are intended for use in production at GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company(hereinafter referred to as the "GMDAT"), and further to provide a method for specifying theses materials by the use of a simple "line call-out" designation.
