SCOPE AND REQUIREMENTS FOR VEHICLE TEST

This section of the test specification outlines the vehicle test requirements for exterior lighting.

Performing and passing all the test requirements is the responsibility of the supplier and GMDAT.

All test samples and vehicles shall be design intent and meet all functional and dimensional requirements.

Any exceptions shall be approved by the GMDAT Lead Engineer (LE) and Validation Engineer (VE), prior to the start of any testing.

During all vehicles testing, any camouflage which could restrict or change airflow, water flow, or heat transfer Properties around the lamp shall be removed.

The schedule and place for testing shall be decided by agreement between a tester and a client after planning a test schedule

Note: Special care shall be taken with regard to the removal of vehicle camouflage.

The requirements not specified in this standard shall conform to the drawing.

PURPOSE

This standard specifies the environmental (water leakage & moisture) performance characteristics of exterior lighting manufactured by GMDAT.
