Material

This standard applies to the welding of steels with a lower C content, alloy steels with a lower C content, weldable malleable cast irons and equivalent materials. However, this standard may apply to materials with a higher C content or greater tendency to harden through separate requirements.

Resistance welding may apply to the following cases.

(1) In case coated with Sn.

(2) In case coated with lead, zinc, copper, aluminum and their alloys with a coating thickness of 15㎛ maximum on one or both sides

This standard aims at establishing the appropriate test method for GMDAT by describing the shape and test method for the pressure welding connection of metallic materials.
