Materials
This standard applies to the welding for low carbon steel, low carbon alloy steel, malleable cast irons for welding and its equivalent.
Also, this standard may apply to the fusion welding for steel sheets of these materials plated with 30 ㎛ max. of Pb, Zn, Cu, Al or its alloy.
Welding method This standard may apply to the following welding.
Arc fusion welding
(1) Metal arc fusion
(2) Shielded arc welding
Gas fusion welding
PURPOSE
This standard aims at establishing an appropriate test method for GMDAT by describing general properties and shapes of fusion welding for metallic materials.
