This standard applies to work related to failure analysis of metal parts out of fractured parts generated during new model development and in test/assembly/field of mass-production models of GMDAT. This work includes failure at DVP (lab) test during new model development, TIR-related parts and failure at PVP (lab) test during new model mass-production, FTR-related parts and line troubles.
PURPOSE
This standard aims at specifying failure cause analysis procedures of various metal parts in automobiles, thus helping standardizing failure cause analysis procedures and enhancing work efficiency.
