PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard is to specify type and tolerances of surface defects that occur during the manufacturing process on bolts and screws (hereinafter referred as ‘bolts') that are subject to severe dynamic stress in an automobile, and to establish criteria for judging their quality acceptance.
