This standard applies to measuring changes in plastic surface and deterioration of physical properties of the test piece by simulating aging of the test piece surface as a result of exposure to the natural environment, which includes the natural light and moisture such as rain and dew, through exposure to the similar conditions by the use of weather resistance test equipment provided with the xenon arc lamp.
PURPOSE
This standard aims at specifying the weather resistance test (weather-o-meter test) of plastic components for vehicle exterior.
