This specification shall define the test method for determining the horizontal burn rate of materials at the air and be normally only applicable to interior trim materials of which any portion is within 13mm of the occupant compartment air space.
PURPOSE
This test method shall be used to determine the flammability of interior trim materials used in the occupant compartment of vehicles.
