This standard shall be used to determine the dielectric welding properties of automotive trim materials, foils, and garnish moldings and to evaluate the states after welding and the joint strength of welding area after aging about them, using the laboratory welding machine and the production welding machine.

But, the materials under test shall be welded in the same combination as it is welded in production. The test can be performed on only one test material at a time. Any other materials to be combined will be the standard materials of which the weldability have been proved in production.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this standard is to determine the dielectric welding properties of automotive trim materials, foils, and garnish moldings.
