This standard shall be used to determine the strength properties of cardboard, fiberboard and similar rigid materials by measuring, under specified conditions, the pressure necessary to rupture a test piece of the trim material.
Note) For determination of bursting strength of leather cloths, textiles and other flexible low strength materials, reference should be made to EDS-T-7615.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard is to determine the bursting strength of automotive trim materials (e.g. cardboard, fiberboard, and similar rigid materials).
