This standard shall apply to the material used in automotive seat cover. The material shall be defined as maximum value for surface resistance, which transmits sufficient electrostatic charge to cause discomfort to a vehicle user.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard is to evaluate the electrostatic properties of automotive upholstery materials by measurement of their surface resistance.
