PURPOSE

This test standard shall be used to evaluate the ease with which deadener pads may be fused to steel panels, under conditions closely simulating those used in production. According to heat condition, two test methods are given:-

Method A : attempts to simulate under laboratory conditions processing through "light beam" type ovens(electrically heated with quartz iodine lamps) used in production.

Method B : attempts to simulate under laboratory conditions processing through infra red, convection and/or induction type ovens used in production.

Note) The object temperature is the temperature measured between the deadener pad and test panel during the fusing-compacting process.
