Abrasion resistance as determined by this standard shall be specified as a measure of the effect of sand, falling from a defined height onto the inclined surface of the coating.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard is to determine the resistance to abrasion of varnishes and other organic coating which have been applied to metallic or rigid non metallic substance.
