This standard applies to the test of determining evaporation loss of additive and non-additive type lubricating oils at temperatures up to 350°C using a NOACK tester.
PURPOSE
This standard specifies the determination method of evaporation loss of lubricating oils (particularly motor oils) at high temperatures to prevent the engine inside from its performance deterioration caused by decrease of lubricating oils.
