This standard is applied to the fuel hose of 19.05mm min. diameter. (e.g. Tube : Fuel filler)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard is to determine the presence (or absence) of gasoline extractable waxy hydrocarbons in the tube stocks of hose. (In closed fuel systems, such hydrocarbons can be extracted by fuel or condensing fuel vapors, build up to a precipitation point, and form gel-like particles which restrict flow).
