1 SCOPE.

This specification covers the physical, chemical and performance requirements of a relatively fast evaporating aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent typically used for wiping and cleanup of surfaces before painting, or other operations. It is effective on hydrocarbon oils and greases and some cements and sealers. It is also used as a diluent for greases and other materials.
