1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the requirements for a thermosetting, sandable, solvent-borne primer surfacer that is applied by spraying and topcoated with acrylic lacquer. This primer surfacer is intended to provide a smooth, adhesion promoting, corrosion resistant coating over previously applied primers (such as dip primer, flash primer or E-coat). This material is also intended to provide filling of minor metal imperfections and to provide an easily sanded surface. These coated surfaces have additional requirements set forth in the specifications for subsequent coatings.
