1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the requirements for a thermoplastic, solvent-borne primer that is applied by spraying. This primer is intended to provide a corrosion resistant film over phosphated metal surfaces and is compatible with a wet-on-wet spray overcoat of primer surfacer. Areas generally sprayed with this material are the lower body sections to improve primer surfacer adhesion and enhance chip resistance. Primed surfaces that receive subsequent coatings have additional requirements listed in the appropriate coating specifications.
