This specification details the requirements of a high bake, body shop thumb grade sealer.

Purpose/Material Description.

The material must be a smooth and homogeneous mixture free of air, lumps, unmixed particles and foreign material.

The material must adhere to all oily production metal substrates: Cold Rolled Steel (CRS), Hot Dipped (HD) galvanized and electro galvanized. It must have good durability and must not accelerate the rusting of steel over which it is applied.

Applicability.

This material is intended to seal interior and exterior body joints against water, air, and dust intrusion. Typical application of this sealer is manual (by hand) and used to seal larger holes in the body that cannot be sealed using paint shop sealers. This thumb grade sealer is designed to be applied in the body shop over oily metal.
