This specification details the requirements of a high/low bake, appearance paintable thumb grade sealer.

Purpose/Material Description.

The material must be a smooth and homogeneous mixture free of air, lumps, unmixed particles and foreign materials.

The material must also adhere to all production Electrocoat (E-Coat) and have good durability. It must not accelerate the rusting of metal over which it is applied.

Applicability.

This material is intended to seal interior and exterior body joints against water, air, and dust intrusion. Typical application of this sealer is manual (by hand) and used to seal larger holes in the body that cannot be sealed using paint shop sealers. This thumb grade sealer is designed to be applied in the paint shop over E-Coated metal.
