1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the requirements for a black, solvent-borne, thermosetting, primer that is normally applied by dipping and is subsequently coated with a primer surfacer and/or sealer before topcoated with either high solids acrylic enamel or acrylic lacquer color coats. This primer is intended to provide a smooth, corrosion resistant coating over phosphated metal surfaces. These coated surfaces have additional requirements set forth in the specifications for subsequent coatings.
