1 SCOPE.
This specification defines the basic physical, chemical and performance requirements of purge solvents for solventborne paint materials. These include primers, basecoats, and clearcoats (1-component or 2-component). These purge solvents shall aggressively clean all residual paint from the internal surfaces of conventional and electrostatic application equipment during color changes and before shutdown of the equipment.
