Material Description. This specification covers the requirements for a waterborne, high film build cathodic electrodeposition primer for use on vehicle bodies, sheet metal and small parts. Cathodic high build electrocoat may be used with or without primer surfacer in enamel plants but must be used with primer surfacer and/or sealer in lacquer plants. Electrocoated surfaces that receive subsequent coatings may have additional requirements listed in their appropriate coatings specification.
