This specification covers the requirements for an air dry touch up repair paint for minor chips and scratches restricted to secondary surfaces and partially hidden edges. Not to be used on Class A surfaces or on chips or scratches to bare metal. The reprocess material and procedure shall not compromise the appearance or durability of the painted product.

Note: Nothing in this standard supercedes applicable laws and regulations.

Note: In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.

Purpose/Material Description.

This standard provides the guidelines for touch materials on a painted vehicle. These materials will become part of the total coating system and must be approved over a GMW3005 generically approved topcoat system. Plant-specific testing and validation must be complete prior to release.
