This specification covers the requirements for medium build, waterborne cathodic electrodeposition (ELPO) primers for use on vehicle bodies, sheet metal and parts.

Note: Medium build cathodic electrocoat must be used in conjunction with Ultraviolet (UV) resistant primer surfacer in any application or body structure areas that are exposed to sunlight.
Remarks.
This primer provides a smooth, corrosion resistant, adhesion promoting coating over metallic surfaces which may or may not be subsequently topcoated.
